Photography: Places

Places tell stories just as clearly as people do.

Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to travel, study, teach, and live in communities that have broadened my understanding of the world. From the streets of Harlem where my journey began, to the cities and landscapes of Colombia, Finland, and beyond, each place has left a lasting impression on the way I see history, culture, and everyday life.

I am drawn to the streets people walk every day, the neighborhoods that shape communities, the architecture that reflects generations of change, and the quiet moments that reveal the character of a place. Sometimes that means photographing a bustling city square; other times it means noticing the way morning light falls across an ordinary street.

These galleries are less about documenting destinations than about preserving experiences. They represent the places that have challenged me, welcomed me, inspired me, and, in many ways, helped shape the person I have become.
