People have always been at the center of my work, whether as a teacher, researcher, administrator, or photographer.

Perhaps that is why I am most drawn to photographing people. Every face carries a story, every expression reflects a moment, and every portrait preserves something that can never be recreated. Some of these photographs capture family and friends, while others document complete strangers encountered during everyday life. Together, they form a visual record of the remarkable diversity of human experience.

I hope to capture authenticity—moments of joy, concentration, reflection, celebration, or quiet resilience that reveal something genuine about the person in front of the camera. Those moments often disappear as quickly as they appear, making photography one of the few ways to preserve them.

As an educator, I have spent my career encouraging people to recognize potential in others. Photography has taught me to do much the same. Every person has a story worth telling, and every photograph is an opportunity to honor that story with curiosity, dignity, and respect.
