Performance has always been another way for me to tell stories.
Long before I became an educator or researcher, I was drawn to music, movement, and the energy of live performance. Whether through hip-hop, dance, or collaborative artistic projects, I found another language for expressing ideas, building community, and celebrating creativity. These experiences taught me many of the same lessons that have guided my professional life: discipline, preparation, adaptability, and the confidence to stand before others with purpose.
The videos collected here represent different moments from that journey. Some capture performances on stage, while others reflect social dance, cultural experiences, or creative collaborations. Together, they document not only what I have performed, but the communities, friendships, and opportunities that made those moments possible.
Although my professional career has centered on education and leadership, I have never viewed creativity as separate from those pursuits. Performance encourages communication, empathy, confidence, and lifelong learning; the very qualities that also define effective teaching and leadership.
These recordings preserve moments that could never be recreated exactly as they happened. I hope they offer another perspective on my journey and demonstrate that learning, creativity, and self-expression are lifelong pursuits that continue to shape who we become.
Date Night
This was a date night with an old flame where we convinced the bar to play some music for us. This is a good memory as we were able to have fun and the people stopped their cars to watch us dance. Very cool time!
University of Florida

New York City Football Club
I started rapping when I was in high school. My first song was a ballad for my girlfriend at the time. I pursued rap during first year of college but gave it up after my oldest son, Neverson IV, was born. I am so happy to be able to have shared this experience with him. I was chosen to perform at halftime of a Major League Soccer match in the middle of Yankee Stadium and in front of 30,000 people! They loved the song that I wrong detailing my experience being a supporter of the club and allowed my son and I on the field and to sit in the dugout! It was a great date and remains a great memory!
