About My Hobbies & Creative Pursuits

Education has become my profession, but creativity has always been part of who I am.

Long before I became a law graduate, researcher, educator, or administrator, I was writing rhymes, filling notebooks with ideas, and looking for ways to understand the world through words and performance. Creating has never been separate from my professional life; it has been another way of asking questions, telling stories, and making sense of the experiences that have shaped me.

The works collected here span different periods of my life and reflect the interests that have remained constant throughout my journey. They explore themes of identity, fatherhood, education, history, resilience, faith in possibility, and the communities that have influenced me. Some were created during moments of optimism, while others emerged from periods of uncertainty and personal growth.

Whether through music, poetry, essays, or other creative projects, I have always been drawn to storytelling. I believe stories have the power to preserve memory, challenge assumptions, and encourage people to see both themselves and others with greater understanding.

Photography has become another important part of that creative journey and is featured separately on this website. Together, these works represent different expressions of the same lifelong pursuit: learning, creating, and sharing experiences that might otherwise be forgotten.

I hope these works offer another perspective on who I am—not simply through my professional accomplishments, but through the ideas, questions, and creative pursuits that have accompanied me throughout my life.
